Referral program rules
The short version: introduce us to a home services business, they sign, and 30 days later we pay you $1,500. The details below are here so there are no surprises.
Who can refer
Anyone 18 or older, using one name and one email address. You can't refer a business you own or work for, and Lumera employees and contractors can't take part.
What counts as a referral
A home services business in the United States that you've personally introduced to Lumera. The business must know you referred them — submissions the business isn't aware of don't qualify. If they're already a Lumera client or already talking with us, the referral doesn't count and we'll tell you right away.
What earns the reward
The referred business signs a service agreement with Lumera Talent and that agreement is still in place 30 days later. The reward is $1,500 per business. If they cancel before the 30-day mark, no reward is due.
Who gets credit
If two people refer the same business, the first submission we received gets the credit. A referral stays valid for 12 months from the day you submit it; if the business signs after that, it no longer counts.
How and when you're paid
We send the reward within 14 days after the 30-day mark, by check or bank transfer, your choice. Before paying we'll ask for a W-9 (a one-page tax form), and you'll receive a 1099 if your rewards total $600 or more in a calendar year. You're responsible for any taxes on the reward.
Unclaimed rewards
If we can't reach you at the email or phone you gave us after three attempts over 90 days, the reward is forfeited. Keep your contact details current.
Keeping it fair
There's no limit on how many businesses you can refer. Referrals made with false information, made up businesses, automated submissions, or without the business's knowledge are void and earn nothing. Lumera decides in good faith whether a referral qualifies, and that decision is final.
Changes to the program
We may change or end the program. If we do, we'll post it on this page and give 30 days' notice. Any reward you've already earned will still be paid, and referrals submitted before the change are honored under these rules.
Privacy
We use the details you share only to contact the business and to pay you. We don't sell or share them with anyone else.
